ABOUT

Who Are We?

We are the photography society at the University of East Anglia and we take pride in our society.

We hope to create a community that works towards uplifting each other to new levels within photography.

Whether you are just getting started or have lots of experience with photography, whether you have fancy camera gear or just your phone; the photography society is to open everyone!

Joining the photosoc is the perfect opportunity to meet new people, have fun and improve your photography skills.

Photosoc Events

Despite the COVID situation, there is still a lot available for you.

We have developed and adjusted events; so we have lots of opportunities available for everyone.

We will be running lots of online/remote events utilising software such as Teams/Zoom/Blackboard Collaborate.

Also, when time permits and the conditions allow so; we will start to run in-person events again.

Below are some previous events/some events we aim to run this year

Get access to these events by signing up here!

Sharing resources & learn through online content

In addition to our workshops, we will be sharing resources and online content (through our email newsletter and social media pages) relating to photography that you should find helpful such as blog posts, video tutorials and online courses (there are lots of great free ones on the internet)

Collaborations with other societies

We have plans in place for collaborations with other societies & sports teams, and you can get involved and build upon your photography portfolio (and even get a paid photography gig depending on the event).

Also, perfect those who are particularly confident in their skill or if you want to give different kinds of photography an attempt (e.g. food photography).

Socials

Once we can (due to the COVID situation); we will start to host in-person socials again during the year such as pub crawls and quizzes.
